Different words for different times
We travel a road of faith, guided by God. Along this road God gives us instruction. There have been times when God told me one thing regarding someone, then He later told me an even more separate road regarding them and then an even more separate road in relation to them. What He told (including the below scripture) fits perfectly with the below scripture.
Exodus 23:29-30 29 "I will not drive them out before you in a single year, that the land may not become desolate and the beasts of the field become too numerous for you. 30 "I will drive them out before you little by little, until you become fruitful and take possession of the land.
Just like one day you might tell your son to go ahead and play with someone that has previously hurt him, telling your child to tell and show the other how he should act, hoping that other child will change his ways; you then later tell your child, “you cannot play with your old friend anymore for he did not listen to the words I told you to tell him.”
Everyone is given time to repent and whenever one repents, a nation or an individual, God will relent on the calamity He had planned for that person or nation. The people who do not repent are the ones God will drive out little by little until you become fruitful and take possession of the land.
So, as God deals with other’s lives in time, He also deals with your life in time. I recently read something in the Bible that God did not show me when I was in the situation that it was related to. I can’t tell you what it was for the same reason God did not tell me. It was instruction regarding a day in my life on which God showed me other verses in His word. Had I read that verse, I would not have done what I did, but the fact is that verse was not instruction for me concerning that day (because of my geographic location… I can tell you that much), other verses that God showed me, were.
God deals with us in time and by specific needs. My specific need and specific direction for that need would not be God’s specific direction for your specific need. Only God by His Holy Spirit will guide you to these words, in the Word of God, for your specific needs for different times in your life. Even when dealing with the same people, what He tells you may change. It may become more open to them if they repent and more closed to them if they do not repent. You can still pray to God for that person, and you should, and make pleas for mercy and another chance for them, in God’s will, as I write this is speaking to my own heart as this what Jesus meant when He said “pray for your enemies.” With that being said, I will not be like Saul as he dealt with Amalek and offend the Lord. Your will be done Father. Jesus’ will and the Father’s will agree. So when you don’t understand, just pray for God’s will to be done. Now, God sees a persons heart and knows the outcome, if there is anything He can do to bring someone to repent. I believe He tries everything He can to bring people to repent. Regardless, some stiffen their necks and will not repent and they perish if they do not repent and believe. But we do not have God’s knowledge so we pray for them, in God’s will. We may be told by God that calamity will strike people, but just like people do repent in times of tribulation and calamity we are to pray that they will repent, in God’s will. This does not mean that we are to be involved in their lives. We must come out from them.
I have done all I know how to do Lord to be obedient to Your Word, in regards to these adversaries. I thank You for leading me every step of the way, for my correct steps, and doing unseen things to untangle this mess I got myself into. The matter is completely in Your hands Father, Who Judges righteously. In Jesus’ name. Amen
There is a time for every event under heaven and there are specific words that God has for us for each one of these times. Do not stay wondering, regarding what you should do. Open God’s Word and let Him speak to you.
If you’re not saved, Come to Jesus! |

Romans 8:38-39 38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
