Ecclesiastes 8:8 ...evil will not deliver those who practice it.

 

Genesis 27:29 May peoples serve you, And nations bow down to you; Be master of your brothers, And may your mother's sons bow down to you Cursed be those who curse you, And blessed be those who bless you."

 

Israel: Those who bless you God will bless and those who curse you God will curse. I bless you Israel and I feel and have felt some of your pain. My love for you, though, does not keep me from speaking out when you have a wrong mindset.

 

You give up your claim for a righteous battle when you kill innocent children without going to extreme measures to prevent it.

 

Ecclesiastes 8:8 No man has authority to restrain the wind with the wind, or authority over the day of death; and there is no discharge in the time of war, and evil will not deliver those who practice it.

 

Wind against wind does not work. Evil against evil does not work. There is no getting away from (discharge / escaping) this truth in times of war. In other words, war is no excuse for evil actions. War does not justify evil.

 

This side of Calvary you cannot kill children and believe you are doing right. They are precious in God's sight and their lives are valuable. You do not fire a rocket into a school even if you are being fired upon from that location. You go in more strategically and precisely. If needed you lose the lives of your soldiers to save the lives of children. Then you are fighting a battle the Lord will bless (this, I say in general). He will be for you and things will go well for you (again, I say this in general).

 

If you are fighting you should value the life of innocent children as you do your own.

 

I personally think:

 

· If the UN could help take care of the rocket problem with some kind of oversight, a cease fire would be good. I believe Israel could, by showing love through great humanitarian care of the people of Gaza, get the world on their side and against Hamas; then the world would help Israel get rid of Hamas.

 

· Israel can live a lot better with the world for Israel with a severely wounded Hamas (for a while) than a destroyed Hamas with the world against Israel. Hear what I’m saying? You can still get rid of Hamas but with the support of the world and over time with less loss of life. It’s a better approach, I believe, and with God’s blessing by removing evil actions and evil policy.

 

I just read, in regards to the 3 hour cease fires Israel provides for humanitarian efforts, during the Israel — Hamas war, that Salam Kanaan of Save the Children (the chosen charity of eyesonChrist.org) said that “in previous lulls, the agency distributed food to 9,500 people — far short of the 150,000 people it serves.”

The truths of Ecclesiastes 8:8 apply to all people… “no man” has authority...
