Hebrews_12:2_ fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. |

Firstborn
Colossians 1:15-17 15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16 For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
Jesus is not a created being: The world counts time from what they believe is Christ's birth (no one knows for sure). No other religion can say that about their god (there is only one God), and it's by no accident. It is by God's design and His sovereign will. I believe when Christ is called the firstborn of all creation, that the Bible is speaking of His birth on earth, not of His creation (because He was not created), but rather of His being born in the flesh. Remember Christ created all things.
God is not limited by time, and even we count time from the birth of Jesus. His birth is the apex of time (our calendar is God showing us that the birth of Christ is the beginning of time): In the Old Testament we looked forward to Christ’s birth, as we now look back in time to His birth. So, the beginning of time was at His birth, hence, firstborn (all emphasis are mine).
Others believe that when firstborn is used here, it is only designating His birthright. So, when Jesus is called firstborn it is referring to His birthright, not His birth in time. I think both what I wrote and this is true (minus the only). That it designates His birth in birthright and His birth in actual time. This is a highly interpretative matter and not essential for salvation, because that’s a gift.
Now, this is not the speculation that Bible says to not do that leads to quarrels. So don’t argue about this. This is just here to get you to think outside the box, as God does not fit in the box so many wish to place Him.
What if time was like this infinity symbol. I think it’s string theory that proposes that time folds so this is not far from that and may be supported by that. If time was as the infinity symbol:
Notice the Alpha of Genesis 1:1 and the Omega of Revelation 22:13
Notice the beginning in John 1:1-3 and our tracking time from Christ’s birth in John 1:14 coincides with the beginning of time in Genesis 1:1.
Notice how this explains firstborn in time (born on earth in the flesh) and firstborn as His position. |

Romans 8:38-39 38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
